BRISTOL Rugby have conceded that the likelihood of their match against Cardiff on Sunday going ahead is "extremely doubtful" ahead of a 9.30am pitch inspection on Saturday.
Bristol are due to host the Welsh side at 3pm in their final British & Irish Cup Pool One fixture, needing one point to guarantee their place in the quarter-finals.
But Bristol Rovers' home clash with Exeter City, scheduled for Saturday, has already been postponed due to snow – and the rugby club fear their game may go the same way.
In a brief statement, Bristol Rugby confirmed: "The B&I Cup clash with Cardiff will be subject to a pitch inspection on Saturday morning, following adverse weather in Bristol.
"The inspection will take place at 9.30am, with details announced on the official website shortly after.
"The chances of the Pool One fixture going ahead are extremely doubtful."
If the match does go ahead, Bristol's side will contain six changes to the one that beat Ulster Ravens a week ago.
Ryan Edwards, Jack Gadd, Ben Mosses and Tristan Roberts will all come into the back-line, while Mark Lilley and Rhys Edwards are recalled up front.
