Trading Carbon Credits and the Growing Carbon Industry
Carbon emission credits represent the amount of carbon offsets that firms need to buy against the excess carbon footprints generated. Carbon emission credits can be bought by firms from the voluntary carbon markets, which can be spot markets or futures. The buyer can get permits, or options which allows you to evaluate the best market price and also maintain the liquidity. The price of carbon credits in the carbon trading markets is measured in terms of Euros per tonne of CO2. The carbon offsets can be generated from projects based on renewable or forestation.
